DOL Office of ETA Hosts 3rd Annual Virtual Vendor Industry Day,

May 29th.2024
 45 min one on one to be scheduled

Virtual

Free Event

The U.S. Department of Labor (Department) Employment and Training Administration (ETA) Office of Unemployment Insurance (OUI) is hosting its 3rd Annual Virtual Vendor Industry Day

session(s) to enable the Department to continue its market research on viable solutions/services within the Unemployment Insurance (UI) community of practice.

The Department intends to host a series of Vendor Industry Day sessions throughout the 2024 Fiscal Year, with the fourth opportunity commencing on May 29, 2024.  We will have a considerable number of sessions to schedule, and additional days will be identified and announced soon.

As part of the Department’s market research, we invite your organization to sign-up for one of the available 45-minute timeslots to provide an overview of technology solutions and/or services that will position State UI agencies to optimize their service delivery efforts. If you are unable to participate in the May 29th event, we hope you will be able to join one of the future events.

These sessions are an opportunity for affiliates to showcase their respective technology solutions/services to the Department that bring about optimization to program performance and service delivery, enabling states to meet the needs of the constituents they serve.

The Department is interested in learning about vendors’ ability to offer integrity services and to share data with and among states.  As the Department continues to identify UI program risks and invest in new tools, resources, strategies, and guidance to help states improve their UI programs, it is also critical the Department has relevant knowledge and understanding of the current market solutions and services states are using and remain abreast of emerging technology that can support states in these efforts.

As such, the Department wants to better understand currently available industry solutions and consultation services with a focus on achieving the following goals:

1) fraud prevention & detection, and over payment recovery;

2) promotion of equitable access to the UI program; and

3) ensuring the timely payment of benefits, as well as activities around the reduction of workload backlogs.

The Department is responsible for the oversight of Federal-State UI and related income support programs and has a vested interest in hearing from vendors/consultants that provide solutions and/or services that will position a state to best meet the UI PERFORMS Core Measures.

Attendance at this event shall not be considered a commitment of any kind by the Government.

 The Government will not reimburse any cost to prepare for or participate in this Industry Day Event.

If you would like to schedule your 45-minute timeslot with us, please email Emily Strickler at strickler.emily.a@dol.gov.

Thank you and we look forward to meeting with you on May 29th.
